the hammock has been hanged on the second deck on the boat that will take me to Santarem..this is a city located half way the delta and the deep jungle..
the main and only way to enter the jungle is the Amazon river, no roads but optional flights yes..
the organization and settings are pretty dodgy, cause I bought the ticket from a street seller that won the competition of other 20 that offered me to go and sleep already on the boat two days before the official departure to save money of the hotel (that are actually the cheapest in Brasil!!)...also the port itself is in one of the most dangerous parts of the city and the boat is pretty much full of brasilian families..I will be leaving then on the tuesday the 28th at around 18 in the afternoon and the arrival is expected for friday the 30th at 8 in the morning but I really hope at least this schedule will be respected...Brasil proved me they hardly are.
this is possibly the most interesting, adventurous, boring and wanted experience for any traveller...I will be travelling with a japanese couple...will let you know...
l´amaca é stata collocata giá al secondo piano della barca che mi porterá a Santarem..questa é la cittá che é a metá strada tra il delta e la giungla vera e propria.
la principale e unica maniera di entrare la giungla é il Rio delle Amazzoni, no strade ma voli opzionali si..
l´organizzazione e "scenario" son abbastanza sospettosi, perché ho comprato il biglietto da un venditore per strada che ha vinto la concorrenza di 20 colleghi e che mi ha offerto di poter dormire sulla barca giá da due giorni prima della ufficiale partenza per risparmiare i soldi del hotel (sinceramente tra i piú economici in Brasile!!)..anche il porto é situato in una delle parti piú pericolose della cittá e la barca é piena di famiglie brasiliane..
la partenza quindi é fissata per il martedí 28 alle 18 del pomeriggio mentre l´arrivo é previsto per il venerdí 30 alle 8 di mattina, ma spero realmente che almeno questo orario venga rispettato..il Brasile mi ha giá dimostrato che é difficile che avvenga..
questo é possibilmente una delle piú interessanti, avventurose, noiose ma desiderate esperienze di qualsiasi viaggiatore..
viaggieró con una coppia di giapponesi...vi faró sapere..
