A CIDADE MARAVILHOSA

São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, known as Rio, a cidade maravilhosa (the marvellous city).
it doesn´t matter all the concerns about high delinquence numbers or the warning about the rats peeing (and dying) around, nor the unhappy weather I found, Rio is still Rio!
Rio where a huge forest meet the most popular, probably, beaches in the world (Copacabana and Ipanema), while skyscrapers look for space amongst peaks, lagoons, islands and bays..
Rio where very rich must cohabit with very poor and very poor must cohabit with the life in the favelas, that hosts mainly uneducated indigenous people getting paid by government and bills free and where guns are normal accesory!! (I haven´t seen any personally though!!).
I honestly followed the beaten gringo track also because of the short time I have and also because of the short motivation I have... (lately..that´s a shame yes!!)
I then went to the Maracanã Stadium even if I had no clue what the teams and match were about!! and obviously the popular Christ that enjoy of the best views of the city and the Pasarela do Samba: Sambodromo (the parade ground where the best Carnival in the world is hold!) all (unusually for me) organised through agencies..

non importano le preoccupazioni riguardo l´alto indice di delinquenza o riguardo i topi urinando (e morendo) in giro, né il tempo che non ha collaborato, Rio é sempre Rio.
Rio é dove una foresta immensa incontra le piú popolari spiaggie, probabilmente, del mondo (Copacabana e Ipanema), mentre i grattacieli si fanno spazio tra picchi, lagune, isole e baie.
Rio é dove i molto ricchi devono convivere con i molto poveri e i molto poveri convivono con la vita nelle favele, che ospitano per la maggior parte incolti indigeni pagati dal governo e esenti da bollette e dove le pistole son un normale accessorio!!(sinceramente io non ne é visto alcuna!)/(non sicuro riguardo la grammatica!)/
ho sinceramente seguito il "gringo beaten truck" anche per il poco tempo a disposizione e per la poca motivazione della quale ultimamente godo.. (questa é una vergogna e lo so!!).
visitato lo Stadio Maracanã seppur non sapendo di che squadre e partita si trattasse/(non sicuro riguardo la grammatica!)/! e ovviamente il famosissimo Cristo che gode di un panorama della cittá impressionante e la Pasarela do Samba : Sambodromo (il viale dove si tiene il piú gettonato Carnevale al mondo!) tutto (insolitamente per me) oraganizzati tramite agenzie..
