quick note just to inform about the incredible country I am in now...after managing in 10 hours the 6 hours bus to reach Uyuni, gateaway for the biggest salt desert in the world..
even the bus ride can be an adventure here, no possibility to open windows, any possible smell (mainly coca leaves chewed for hours by locals..), toilet in the open desert where the japanese tourist reach the farthest spot possible and covering herself with a scarf while the local bolivian lady peeing in front of the bus just standing...basically it's very common to see kids in the middle of the road doing it too...unpaved road where you get stuck and help the bus in front of you that was hanging with a wheel in the ravine...!!!and the scenery of desertic lands where llamas are the owners and few houses built here and there with mud..we also needed to get off the bus and cross one river barefoot cause dangerous to do it staying on the bus!!!!
ok...now leaving for a 3 days excursion of the salar!!ita
