living the city

great time is happening here in the southern hemisphere...I decided to visit the Boca quarter, unfamously popular for being dangerous but really dangerous...I then thought to go with the worst clothes I have with me (actually I went with my pijiama!!)..and not carry with me any valuable...so no camera,no wallet,no watch, no mobile!!I just left with 24 pesos and few coins to pay the bus (the only way you can get on a bus is by paying the fare with coins, and coins are rare here,seriously!!!!long story...)anyway got on the bus 53 we got off at the second last stop just in front of Caminito that is the centre of the Barrio and the most touristic but the safest, helped by a tatooed argentinian of indigenous origin not trustble at first sight!very carefully getting around the police make it feel safe, there are in fact policemen every corner.the real touristic part is very small but so cool,there is also the Maradona's look-alike....obviously I couldn't take pics but I now know I will next time...I met so many people in that little while and asked so many questions... being from south of Italy and being able to speak spanish helped to be liked too: Maradona and immigrants (mostly from Calabria) make me popular..


Boca is a quartier built up by people from Genova, that established and made it a colourful and characteristic place,third most popular destination of the city...then after a double stroll in the main three little streets full of restaurants-cafe's and street artists and little tango's shows headed back to hostel to organise the asado (barbecue)...ya we had planned with a english guy teaching here to buy and eat some good meat that at the end turned to be a big party with plenty of red meat,chicken and fish and veggies that here are so cheap!!!we were 18 (from Chile,Sweden,Brasil,England,South Africa,Argentina,USA,Portugal and...ITALIA) and for just 15 pesos (3,5 euros) we were so happy and full!!!it was so satisfying and it turned to be easy and rewarding..soon pasta night..



bei tempi qui nell'emisfero del sud..ho deciso di visitare il quartiere di Boca famoso per essere pericoloso ma sul serio..ho pensato quindi di andarci con le peggiori robe che ho con me (sinceramente so andato col pigiama!) e senza oggetti di valore, quindi no macchina fotografica,no portafoglio,no cellulare,ne orologio..son andato con solo 24 pesos e delle monete per il bus (qui l'unico modo per prender un bus e' avere spiccioli che del resto sono cosa rara,ma veramente!!!!una storia lunga...)

ci siam messi sul bus 53 e siam scesi alla penultima fermata aiutati da un tatuato signor argentino di origini indigene non molto affidabile a primo impatto,proprio di fronte a Caminito che e' il centro del quartiere e il piu' turistico ma anche il piu' tranquillo e sicuro...guardinghi ci avviamo ma la polizia in giro trasmette sicurezza,c'e' uno ogni angolo.la parte turistica e' molto piccola,ma estremamente carina.c'e' anche il sosia ufficiale di Maradona, e putroppo ovviamente non son riuscito a far foto, ma consapevole e sicuro per la prossima volta.in quel poco tempo che mi son fermato li' ho conosciuto molta gente e informatomi un po' circa il quartiere...il fatto di esser del sud Italia e di saper parlar spagnolo mi ha aiutato anche a esser piaciuto..: Maradona e gli immigrati (maggior parte calabresi) mi rendono famoso in questa piccola parte della citta'.
la Boca e' un quartiere creatosi con l'arrivo dei genovesi, che si son insediati e resa caratteristica e coloratissima,la terza attrazione turistica della citta'.dopo aver fatto un secondo giretto tra le tre piccole viuzze piene di ristoranti-bar e artisti di strada e mini spettacoli di tango siam ritornati in ostello dove avevo pensato di organizzar un asado (barbecue)..avevo pensato con un signore inglese che insegna qui di farci una mangiata di carne che alla fine si e' trasformata in una mega festa con carne, pollo, pesce e verdure a buttare qui estremamente economici!!eravamo 18 (da Cile,Brasile,Argentina,Stati Uniti,Svezia,Portogallo,Inghilterra,Sud Africa e ....ITALIA!!) e per soli 15 pesos (3,50 euros!!) ci siam divertiti e riempiti!!e' stato davvero entusiasmante e alla fine e' stato facile e gratificante..presto pasta night...
