Salsa and...coffee

When you don’t step on your dancing partner feet, or when you manage to feel that for some reason the steps, moves and the music match, and when you enjoy pretty much a couple of rum and coke’s more, then you can proudly say that you danced salsa...somehow!!
After dedicating a couple of hours (no more) to practice in our room following video lessons in internet, we bravely pushed ourselves on few of the many dance floors in town, it’s something (if not the only thing) to do in Cali and we did, but now we are again on the road and visiting the part of the country that gives Colombia his highest fame (after cocaine if you want!!): the coffee.
We are now in the central part of Colombia, in the area known as Zona Cafetera (Coffee Zone) and where probably the best coffee in the world is produced.
Coffee is such a everyday thing for many people, but how many do really know something about it?, here it’s where you can do a coffee farm tour and learn it!
We also enjoyed (honestly, not really!) of a festival, set up for the weekend that celebrates father’s day, in the small town, located in a great natural and historical surrounding scenery, called nicely Salento!
The crowded touristic town, the higher prices and the rainy weather spoiled a bit our staying but here we are still anyway...

Quando non schiacci i piedi del tuo partner ballando, o quando in qualche modo riesci a far coincidere passi e musica, e quando ti godi piu’ o meno di un paio di rum e coca (cola) in piu’ , allora e’ che puoi dire orgogliosamente di aver ballato salsa.. diciamo!!
Dopo aver dedicato un paio di ore (non di piu’) alla pratica nella nostra stanza seguendo video lezioni in internet, ci siam coraggiosamente spinti in alcune delle tante piste da ballo in giro, é qualcosa (se non l’unica cosa) da fare in Cali e quindi lo abbiam fatto, ma ora stiam di nuovo proseguendo e quindi in viaggio e in visita nella parte del paese che dá alla Colombia la sua piú importante fama (dopo la cocaina se volete!) : il caffé.
Siamo nella parte centrale della Colombia, in un’area conosciuta come la Zona Cafetera (la Zona del Caffe´) e dove probabilmente il piú pregiato caffé al mondo é prodotto.
Il caffé che é una cosa cosí quotidiana per molte persone, ma in quanti sanno qualcosa in riguardo?, qui si possono visitare aziende di caffé e imparare!
Abbiam anche goduto (onestamente non molto!) di un festival, organizato per il fine settimana che festeggia il giorno del papá, in un piccolo paesino, ubicato in un bellissimo paesaggio storico e naturale , simpaticamente chiamato Salento!
L’affollatissimo turistico villaggio, i prezzi piú elevati e il tempo piovoso han viziato un pó il nostro soggiorno ma in ogni modo siam ancora qui..
