a German, since 15 years sailing the Caribbean and a Cuban (just turned half Jamaican to be able to re-enter Cuba after escaping with a small boat 17 years ago) met casually and planning to travel the world together; this is the company that entertained our hot and boring sunday on a boat trip, their cosy boat!
it's a dream to own a small boat to travel around ports, islands and countries, with all the facilities needed..so some more people, some rum and some coke, some masks and snorkels and fins and off to enjoy the beautiful Caribbean sunset.
at the end simple things, like some other friends and some more rum and coke and pizza to end the day and the week started with another dive to search for the whale shark again, looking for "the boiling" amongst the waves that all the small fish create through jumping outside the water, moving frantically, swimming quickly when feeling the presence of the whale shark, running into sometimes also the presence of hungry birds flying cleverly above...
once the dorsal fin surfaces, as a proper shark does, the captain of the boat gives the ok for entering the water quickly but silently to snorkel and see it, but unfortunately the shark disappeared and no closer meeting for today either...
un Tedesco, da 15 anni navigando per i Caraibi, e un Cubano (appena diventato meta' Giamaicano per poter rientrare a Cuba dopo che era scappato con una piccola imbarcazione 17 anni fa) incontratisi casualmente e col progetto di viaggiare il mondo insieme; questa la compagnia che ha divertito la nostra calda e noisosa domenica in un giro in barca, la loro accogliente barca.
e' un sogno possedere una piccola barca per visitare porti, isole e paesi con tutti i servizi di cui si necessita...quindi un po' piu' di gente, un po' di rum e un po' di coca cola, una maschera e un tubo e delle pinne e via a godersi il bellissimo tramonto Caraibico.
alla fine piccole cose, come degli altri amici e altro rum e coca cola e pizza per finire la giornata e la settimana che inizia con un'altra immersione alla ricerca di nuovo dello squalo balena, cercando tra le onde "l'ebollizione" provocata dai tantissimi pesci che saltellando fuori dall'acqua, muovendosi freneticamente, nuotando velocemente, che sentono la presenza dello squalo nei paraggi e che devono imbattersi a volte anche nella presenza di affamati uccelli che inteligentemente sorvolano l'area..
una volta avvistata la pinna dorsale, come appropriato e'di uno squalo, il capitano da l'ok per entrare nelle acque rapidamente ma silenziosamente per avvistarlo con maschera e tubo, ma sfortunatamente lo squalo e' scomparso e quindi nessun incontro ravvicinato neanche oggi ..
