an unexpected and unusual winery day..

something extremely unusual that can be done while here is visiting a winery or better the winery, the only one available and only one that is experimenting producing wines in Central America.
unless you follow the easy way (taxi, so, a lot of extra, money..), you would just be diving by head into an adventurous day that was going to be, actually, our starter cause a nice pizza night was awaiting for us at the cool hostel owner Guatemalans' house; these, lately frequent, pizza nights are becoming a nice getting to know locals and their ideas and knowledges about us foreigners.
back to the winery, half an hour drive in chicken bus with many very traditional wearing ladies to a small village called Santa Maria de Jesus, welcomed by hundreads of school teenagers playing dodgeball in the street, a warm sun, a smelly fruit market, beautiful little kids "magically" wearing traditional and colorful ponchos and aprons and the only few cars around were old and scruffy 4x4, and we were actually needing a lift to the winery that was located 5 km out of town on a road where even horses would hate to pass from..
asking around for the winery and receiving puzzled faces, while taking pictures, and smiling at kids curious but bit scared screaming "gringos!!", we managed to meet Edgar, a friendly advocato and lemon trees seller, that after a bit of bargain offered us to help us in our unusual request.
different from other wineries visited before, but very interesting and defenetely worth it, plus the whole experience made it a post story..

qualcosa di estremamente inusuale da fare qui e' la visita a un'azienda vinicola o meglio la azienda vinicola, l'unica disponibile e la unica che sta sperimentando produzione di vino in America Centrale.
a meno che non segua la strada facile (taxi, e quindi soldi extra..), ti staresti tuffando di testa in un'avventura che era, in realta', come un antipasto perche' la serata da pizza ci aspettava in casa della brava coppia Guatemalteca proprietaria dell'ostello; queste, ultimamente frequenti, stanno diventando ottimi incontri con i locali, e conoscere cosa loro pensano riguardo noi stranieri.
tornando al vigneto, mezz'ora nel bus dei polli con tante signore vestite molto tradizionali fino ad un piccolo villaggio chiamato Santa Maria de Jesus, dove ci han dato il benvenuto tanti studenti adolescenti che giocavano dodgeball (!), un caldo sole, un puzzolente mercato di frutta, tanti bambini che "magicamente" vestivano tipici e coloratissimi ponchos e grembiuli e le uniche macchine in giro vecchi e trasandati 4x4, e noi effetivamente stavamo cercando un passaggio al vigneto che si trovava a 5km dal paesino e da dove i cavalli neanche vorrebbero passarci..
chiedendo in giro e ricevendo facce perplesse alla nostra ricerca del vigneto, mentre scattavamo foto a bambini curiosi ma anche un po' spaventati che ci gridavano "gringos"!!, siam riusciti a trovare Edgar, un gentile venditore di alberi di avocado e limoni, che dopo un po' di mercanteggio si e' offerto di aiutare e soddisfare la nostra richiesta.
differente dalle altre visitare precedentemente, seppur molto interessante e comunque ne e' valsa la pena, piu' la completa esperienza in se' che ne vale un post.
