the East and the friends

a hot sun, the marinas, skyscrapers and bridges of Miami.a few steps away from the large, white, wavy , not Carribean at all, beach our hostel amongst clubs and restaurant and favourite playground for cool, posh, rich and fancy folks from all over the world..monkeys, snakes, parrots for a picture, insanely huge 10 units (alcohol) cocktails, sexy (or maybe not) looking girls and boys, stylish lounges and mad clubs, a granmum skateboarding (honestly chapeaux..), a orange Lamborghini behind a beautiful Bugatti, the art deco architecture all on Ocean drive, all living and sharing the same waterfront..a glimpse of Miami Beach, overwhelmed by the integrated and proud community Latina, a smiley Larry (a wine guy met in Cayman) his wife and some wines... a full day in the train, the charisma and the noises of this way of transportation not available in Latin America as much, six States crossed and then Washington DC.. a big chunk of the travel and some more friends to meet, we'll spend a couple of days with Sally and Rob ( guests in Osetra Bay) and their talks and our stories in their place in peaceful Potomac.. an imposing and gorgeous architecture with the vibe of a serious and politicalised city, the stroll around the White House, the pictures at the white US Capitol, the the folk feast, the museums area, the long walks, the Potomac Canal, some history and we start the crossing to the other side of the country: Chicago first stop..

un caldo sole, i porti, i grattacieli e i ponti di Miami. a un pochi passi dalla larga, bianca e ondeggiata, certo non Caraibica, spiaggia, il nostro ostello tra clubs, ristoranti e piazzale di sfoggio favorito di fighetti, ricchi e sofisticati di tutto il mondo..scimmie, serpenti, pappagalli per una foto, cocktail giganti da 10 unita' (alcol), attraenti (o forse no) ragazze e ragazzi, effervescenti lounge e particolari locali notturni, una nonna sullo skateboard (onestamente invidiabile), una Lamborghini arancione si incrocia con una bellissima Bugatti, l'architettura art deco tutti che si dividono la rinomata Ocean Drive.. giusto un pizzico di Miami Beach, sovraffollata da una integrata e orgogliosa comunita' Latina, un sorridente Larry (un amante di vini conosciuto in Cayman) sua moglie e alcuni vini.. un giorno intero nel treno, il carisma e i rumori di un mezzo di trasporto che finora avevamo incontrato poco, sei Stati attraversati e quindi Washington DC.. un bel pezzo del viaggio e altri amici da incontrare, spenderemo un paio di giorni tra i confort dell'appartamento di Sally e Rob (clienti in Osetra Bay) e le loro chiaccherate e le nostre storie in tranquilla Potomac. una imponente e spettacolare architettura in una citta' politicizzata e seria, una passeggiata nei pressi della Casa Bianca, le foto al bianco Capitolio degli Stati Uniti, le festa folcloristica, l'area dei musei, le lunghe camminate, il canale Potomac,un po' di storia e cominciamo con l'attraversamento all'altra parte del paese: Chicago e' il primo stop..
